Hello everybody! I have decided, after seeing some other referee’s blog about the experiences they have had while refereeing, to relate my own tales and experiences while refereeing the world’s game. Of course by the world’s game I mean soccer. I have been a soccer referee for awhile. Six years to be exact (not consecutive though). I am currently a grade 8 (in the proccess of upgrading to a 7) for USSF and I am also a high school official for the OHSAA. I am only 20 years old and because I have played in some sort of soccer league since I was 3, I have really developed a passion for the sport. Unfortunately this blog is about the glory days of playing soccer. No. This is for the benifit of other referees to learn from my experiences so that they may help you with yours if they should ever come up. I will be blogging about every game I referee. It may be short and sweet but who knows what can happen. I will only be using generic referee, team, coach, and parent names so as not to disturb the privacy of their information. So Ill be posting about the two game I did work today after I go and grab some dinner.
